Role overview

Workplace

• The position is hybrid with at least three days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee merchant settlements, financial close, internal and external reporting, audits, and international subsidiary accounting.
• Serve as the executive liaison for internal, external, CRA, and lender audits.
• Direct financial strategy and review profit and cost center analyses and P&L variances.
• Maintain accurate financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS.
• Oversee treasury, cash flow, forecasting, and working capital.
• Manage international subsidiary reporting, transfer pricing, intercompany settlements, and local taxation.
• Review technical accounting memos and integrate new IFRS standards.
• Sponsor systems and products that improve automation, efficiency, and scale.
• Maintain ITGC, ELC, and ICFR internal control frameworks.
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance leaders and structure the controllership team.

Requirements

• CPA designation is required.
• At least 10 years of accounting or financial reporting experience is required.
• Strong IFRS and technical accounting knowledge, including international subsidiaries and transfer pricing, is required.
• Experience with internal controls and an audit-ready environment is required.
• At least five years of experience managing direct reports in a complex finance environment is required.
• Strong project management, judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Big 4 experience, financial institution experience, high-volume merchant settlements, and NetSuite are assets or preferred qualifications.

Compensation and contract

• The base salary range is $170,000-$205,000.
• This is a 12-month contract with a high possibility of becoming permanent.
• Permanent full-time roles may include benefits and an incentive program.
