Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to work for our firm.
The role involves a sound understanding of accounting, auditing and tax.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in accounting, strong analytical skills, and relevant prior experience.
1. Bookkeeping and General Ledger Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records.
- Post journal entries and manage the general ledger for various transactions.
- Perform monthly book-closing activities.
2. Financial Reporting and Statements Preparation
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, such as IFRS.
- Provide detailed cash flow analysis and projections to management.
3. Reconciliations and Compliance
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee accounts, security deposits, and lease-related reconciliations.
- Identify areas for financial process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
4. Taxation (VAT and Corporate Tax)
- Ensure compliance with VAT regulations, including accurate calculations, filing, and payment processing.
- Manage Corporate Tax (CT) compliance by ensuring accurate calculation and timely submission of tax returns.
- Assist in preparing tax reports and providing necessary documentation for audits.
- Stay updated on changes to VAT and CT laws and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
