Position Summary
Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs.
Maintain inventory, invoice, receiving, and cost-control records for hotel food operations.
Coordinate work with other departments and support timely completion of quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Post invoices and maintain organized reports and records.
- Conduct inventory audits, complete requisitions, and notify supervisors of low stock levels.
- Verify received inventory and complete inventory reports and logs.
- Reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports to ensure count accuracy.
- Receive, unload, and process deliveries and manage damaged or incorrect item returns.
- Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee the return process.
- Follow food safety and handling policies across all food-related areas.
- Monitor PAR levels for food items.
- Coordinate tasks, assign work, mentor colleagues, and support team goals.
- Follow company policies, report workplace injuries, protect company assets, and maintain professional communication.
- Perform other reasonable job duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- No license or certification is specified.
Workplace and Physical Expectations
- The position is based at the St. Regis hotel in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
- The role includes moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
