Role Overview
Full-time, on-site Finance Officer position based in Abu Dhabi.
The role owns day-to-day accounting, financial management, reporting, taxation, and finance-related regulatory obligations.
The employer is an ADGM-based financial services firm regulated by FSRA as a Category 3C Authorised Person.
The Finance Officer is expected to proactively monitor obligations and deadlines, follow matters through to completion, and escalate issues when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complete accounting records, bookkeeping, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
- Support annual financial statement preparation and review under applicable accounting standards.
- Own finance-related FSRA regulatory and prudential reporting for the Category 3C Authorised Person.
- Prepare regulatory calculations, reports, supporting documentation, and submissions within deadlines.
- Monitor regulatory capital and other prudential requirements and escalate actual or potential issues.
- Maintain a financial, regulatory, and tax reporting calendar.
- Coordinate with Compliance and senior management on accurate FSRA and ADGM reporting information.
- Manage UAE FTA VAT and Corporate Tax returns, reconciliations, schedules, and payments.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
- Hands-on ADGM/FSRA experience is required; Category 3C experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of FSRA regulatory and prudential reporting and FTA requirements.
- Strong financial reporting, accounting, reconciliation, and closing skills.
- QuickBooks and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Proactive, highly organized, deadline-driven task ownership.
- Fluent professional English.
