Finance Officer

Auditing and Compliance

• Support internal and external audits by preparing financial records, schedules, supporting documents, and reconciliations.
• Conduct internal checks and identify discrepancies, control weaknesses, or unusual transactions.
• Ensure documentation, authorization, financial policies, accounting procedures, and applicable regulations are followed.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and audit trails and support implementation of audit recommendations.

Budgeting and Cash Flow

• Assist with annual and departmental budgets and monitor spending against approved budgets.
• Prepare budget variance reports and highlight overspending or unusual expenses.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cash-flow reports and support short-term and long-term forecasts.
• Monitor upcoming obligations and support cost control and financial efficiency.

Revenue and Cost Control

• Monitor company revenue and reconcile records against system reports, bank deposits, cash collections, and supporting documents.
• Review departmental expenses and identify unnecessary or excessive spending.
• Investigate financial discrepancies and support profitability and cost analysis.

Finance Manager Support

• Provide day-to-day support across financial and accounting activities.
• Prepare reports, reconciliations, schedules, and analysis requested by the Finance Manager.
• Follow up with departments for outstanding financial information and documentation.
• Assist with financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and authorized activities during the Finance Manager's absence.

Qualifications and Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Four to five years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Experience preparing financial and management reports and supporting audits.
• Strong accounting principles and financial controls knowledge.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis.
• Good knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
• UAE experience and UAE VAT knowledge are preferred.
• ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong knowledge of accounting and ERP systems.
