Role Description

  • The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities.
  • This role ensures that financial resources are effectively managed to support business growth, profitability, and long term sustainability.
  • The position involves preparing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • The Finance Manager works closely with senior leadership to align financial planning with business strategies and operational goals.
  • A key responsibility includes analyzing financial performance by reviewing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • The role identifies financial risks, cost saving opportunities, and areas for improving efficiency and profitability.
  • The Finance Manager also oversees month end and year end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • In addition, the position manages financial reporting, variance analysis, and management dashboards to provide insights for decision making.
  • The role supports audits and ensures proper financial controls are in place.
  • The role may also supervise accounting staff, coordinate with external auditors, and manage relationships with banks, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
  • The Finance Manager collaborates with departments such as operations, procurement, and executive management to ensure financial discipline and support strategic initiatives.
  • The Finance Manager plays a critical role in maintaining financial stability, improving profitability, and supporting the overall growth of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial management principles.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Understanding of financial statements and reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools.
  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
