Role Overview
The role leads and oversees financial and accounting activities within the Authority.
The position requires experience in government or government-related entities and practical exposure to GRP systems, budgeting, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Required Experience and Education
- UAE National is stated as the vacancy criterion.
- Seven to ten years of relevant finance and accounting experience is essential.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Government-entity experience is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with GRP or Government Resource Planning systems is essential.
Required Skills
- Strong practical experience in budgeting, accounts payable, general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Strong practical experience in financial controls, compliance, cash management, and financial policies.
- Understanding of accounting standards and government financial regulations is required.
- Analytical, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills are required.
- Revenue accounting or revenue management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- ACCA, CPA, or CMA certification is advantageous.
