Role Description

  • This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Manager at The Valens Clinic, located in Dubai.
  • The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring effective management of resources.
  • Duties include preparing financial reports, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and developing strategies to improve financial health.
  • The role also involves liaising with other departments to optimize cost efficiency and providing regular financial analysis to aid decision-making.
  • Maintain the general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions in accounting software QuickBooks.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
  • Payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Prepare monthly clinician commission working statements and send invoices for confirmation.
  • Process monthly revenue commission payout before due date.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations, including VAT refund and corporate tax.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of accounts receivable from customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconcile payments received with billed amounts, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed records of all transactions and communications with customers
  • Maintain a log of all collection activities and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on accounts receivable, including aging reports and collection status.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances and identify discrepancies.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Any adhoc financial report required by the management.
  • Handling general & administration tasks.
  • Prepare and present financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit findings.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior management, including profit and loss statements and cash flow statements.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Forecast financial outcomes based on historical data, trends, and organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards in the UAE.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Financial Reporting, Analysis, and Cost Optimization.
  • Strong understanding of Accounting Principles, Taxation, and Compliance regulations in the UAE.
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and tools such as ERP systems and advanced Excel functions.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in developing innovative financial strategies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or CFA certification is a plus).
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work on-site in Dubai with a commitment to the clinic’s mission and values.
