URUK GENERAL CONTRACTING & MAINTENANCE seeks an experienced Finance Manager to take full ownership of the company's finances, including accounting, cost control, cash flow, reporting, and compliance.

Responsibilities
- Own and run the entire finance and accounting function end to end
- Lead and supervise the accounting/data entry team; set the process and check their work
- Full project cost control and job costing — track budget vs. actual for every project and flag overruns early
- Cash flow planning and forecasting; make sure the company always knows its position
- Prepare monthly closing, financial statements, and project based management reports
- Oversee payables, receivables, subcontractor payment certificates, progress billing, and LPOs
- Handle UAE VAT filing, compliance, and coordination with tax advisors and auditors
- Manage banking relationships, facilities, guarantees, and cheque/payment approvals
- Oversee WPS payroll and coordination with HR
- Build and enforce internal controls, approval limits, and financial policy
- Advise management on pricing, margins, financing, and financial decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (Master's or CMA/CPA/ACCA strongly preferred)
- 10+ years in finance/accounting, with at least 5 years in UAE construction/contracting
- Proven experience running a full finance function and leading a team
- Strong project cost control / job costing experience in contracting
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks / ERP) and advanced Excel
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, WPS payroll, labor law, and contracting procurement
- Bilingual — Arabic and English (required)
- Confident, independent, and assertive; able to own the numbers with minimal supervision
- Driving License (Required)

About the Company
- We are a mid sized, fast growing general contracting company managing over eight active projects annually across Abu Dhabi, spanning general construction, maintenance, and development.
- We are looking for a strong Finance Manager to take full ownership of the company's finances and run the entire finance function — with a data entry / accounting team reporting to them.
Role Overview
- This is not an accountant role — it is the person who runs the money.
- The Finance Manager owns everything financial: accounting, cost control, cash flow, reporting, compliance, and the finance team below them.
- Management should be able to hand over the numbers and trust it is fully controlled.
Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Skills
