Role Description

  • The Finance Manager will oversee day to day financial operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger postings, and bank reconciliations.
  • The role will involve preparing budgets and forecasts, monitoring cash flow, and producing periodic financial statements and management reports for leadership.
  • The Finance Manager will ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies, including coordinating with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Responsibilities also include supporting project based financial planning, cost control, and financial risk assessment related to operations in multiple jurisdictions.
  • This is a part time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on site presence and some work from home flexibility, and regular collaboration with geographically dispersed teams.

Qualifications

  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting principles, general ledger management, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Experience with financial controls, compliance, and audit processes, ideally across multiple countries or jurisdictions.
  • Advanced skills in financial software and tools (e.g., accounting systems, ERP platforms, Excel or similar spreadsheet applications).
  • Ability to manage project based finances, cost tracking, and financial reporting for operations in complex or high risk environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with remote and cross cultural teams.
  • Relevant academic qualifications, such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • Experience in security, defense, logistics, or similar sectors, and familiarity with international operations, is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently in a part time, hybrid setting in Abu Dhabi, with strong organizational skills.
