About the Role
We’re hiring a Finance Director to lead and manage the financial operations of VentureOne’s robotics venture. This role reports directly to the CEO and Board of Directors and is responsible for financial planning, reporting, cash management, and ensuring financial accountability and control as the business scales. You will work closely with leadership, product, engineering, and commercial teams to support decision-making, manage costs, and ensure resources are aligned with business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the finance function, including day-to-day financial operations and team oversight.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support business priorities and growth plans.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reporting, including P&L, cash flow, and variance analysis.
- Monitor financial performance, identify risks or gaps, and take action to improve financial outcomes.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making across leadership and teams.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, tax advisors, and regulatory entities as required.
- Support the implementation and improvement of finance systems, tools, and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial management roles, preferably in a start-up or scale-up environment, including experience in robotics / hardware.
- UAE experience preferred, with solid knowledge of local financial regulations, banking, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, cash flow management, and business performance analysis.
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial reporting, including P&L, cash flow, and variance analysis.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate financial data into clear business insights.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, early-stage, or scaling business environments.
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are considered an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel).
