Role Description
The Finance Director role is part-time and remote.
The role oversees financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and long-term financial initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for strategic and operational decisions.
- Manage preparation and review of financial statements.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends and risks, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and optimize internal financial processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial initiatives and long-term planning.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in finance and financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial decision-making.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Demonstrated analytical skills for interpreting financial data, modeling scenarios, and supporting business recommendations.
- Experience in financial reporting, including reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA or CFA is advantageous.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and corporate finance best practices.
- Strong organization, self-management, and written and verbal communication skills for remote work.
- Proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and analytics tools; ERP or accounting systems experience is beneficial.
