Ellesmere College Doha is seeking a detail-oriented and professional **Finance Coordinator** to oversee the school’s financial operations.
This pivotal role ensures the seamless flow of payments and maintains the financial integrity of the institution while providing exceptional service to our parents, staff, and external partners.
The Role
The Finance Coordinator is responsible for the daily management of all payments to and from the school.
Reporting to the Principal and Operations Manager, you will work closely with the parent company’s accounting team to ensure all legal and operational financial standards are met.
Financial Operations & Systems
- **System Management:** Utilize the **iSAMS school management system** to process and track all incoming and outgoing financial transactions.
- **Banking:** Coordinate directly with the school’s designated bank for all receipts and payments.
- **Vendor & Contractor Management:** Calculate and process payments for service contractors (cleaning, security, canteen), resource suppliers, and IT/software providers.
Revenue & Collections
- **Parental Liaison:** Receive and record payments for school fees, transport, uniforms, textbooks, examinations, and extracurricular activities.
- **Retail Oversight:** Manage the personnel and financial reporting of the **School Shop**.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Accurately calculate and execute payments for:
- Staff salaries and gratuities.
- Accommodation, transport, and flight allowances.
Professional Standards
- As a face of the college, the Finance Coordinator is expected to:
- Maintain a **professional, friendly, and helpful demeanour** when dealing with parents, students, and colleagues.
- Act as an ambassador for the school, upholding its reputation through professional conduct both on and off campus.
- Strictly adhere to the Staff Handbook, Terms and Conditions of Employment, and all legal operational guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a finance or accounting coordination role (experience in an educational setting is a plus).
- Proficiency in financial software; specific experience with **iSAMS** is highly desirable.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
