Purpose of the role
Provide expert accounting guidance across BBC Studios' complex international business.
Support statutory reporting, technical accounting advice, IFRS and UK GAAP compliance, financial controls and high-quality financial reporting.
Contract and salary
- The role is a six-month fixed-term, full-time contract.
- Proposed salary is up to £55,000 plus £5,441 London Weighting, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
Key responsibilities and impact
- Prepare subsidiary statutory financial statements across the BBC Studios Group and meet reporting deadlines.
- Provide guidance on complex transactions and the accounting implications of commercial decisions.
- Review month-end, quarterly and year-end results, reconciliations and balance sheet positions.
- Support Group reporting, year-end submissions, external reporting and audit processes.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure, hedging activity and related reporting.
- Deliver technical accounting training and guidance to finance teams.
- Maintain and develop accounting policies, processes and controls.
