Finance Assistant

Position Overview: The Finance Assistant Projects will be responsible for overseeing all financial tracking for Projects , this will involve, supplier account creation, tracking and recording of project costs, purchase ordering and client invoicing and other commercial activities for the company.

This role involves ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, book-keeping, managing financial risks , accounts receivable, accounts payable and ensuring regular project reporting to the Project Managers / Management.

The position requires a committed work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with the projects team / project management and internal stakeholders.

Should have hands-on experience in :

• Basic Accounting and bookkeeping.
• Accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Preparing project finance reports and project cashflows
• Preparing monthly project finance reports for management.
• Good keyboard skills and the ability to enter data accurately and efficiently.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills
• Setting up vendor/customer accounts.
• Arranging freight/delivery contracts
• Supporting Finance Managers with data collection and summarising information.
• Liaising with external contractors/advocates/customers on project matters
• ERP data input and optimisation

Required skills and qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping and basic accounting or a similar discipline
• Prior experience in project support and working with teams.
• Proficiency Microsoft suite packages
• Strong Communication, Analytical and Problem-Solving Attitude
• Relationship building with external contractors, advocates, and customers
• ERP systems proficiency
