Role Overview
Hemm Africa is seeking an accurate, organized, and reliable Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant.
The entry-level to early-mid-level role supports daily transactional accounting, financial document workflows, and clean sub-ledgers.
The role reports to the Finance Supervisor or Accounts Executive and works with internal teams, suppliers, and bank representatives.
Accounting Operations
- Process accounts payable invoices, prepare payment vouchers, issue customer tax invoices, and track outstanding receipts.
- Cross-check purchase orders against delivery orders and supplier invoices.
- Perform basic daily bank reconciliations, manage petty cash disbursements, and record routine journal entries.
- Maintain organized audit trails and file financial records in compliance with audit standards.
Records and Coordination
- Use spreadsheet software and accounting applications to track expenses, payments, and financial records.
- Coordinate routine documentation requests and vendor payment inquiries with colleagues, suppliers, and bank representatives.
