About the Role
The role strengthens safety culture and compliance across Amrize asphalt, paving, construction, civil and infrastructure operations.
The Construction Safety Officer develops field-level processes, integrates them into the management operating system and provides practical safety guidance.
What You Will Accomplish
- Champion proactive safety culture and strengthen the safety management operating system.
- Partner with project teams and frontline employees to identify risks and implement controls.
- Lead contractor safety management activities across construction projects.
- Analyze incidents, trends, observations and leading indicators to create corrective and preventive actions.
- Coach, mentor and educate the workforce while fostering collaboration across operations, management and contractors.
- Support construction delivery by balancing safety requirements with operational needs.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 10 years of progressive occupational health and safety, construction operations or related experience is required.
- Experience supporting large-scale construction, civil infrastructure, asphalt or industrial operations is required.
- Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, SAP and SiteDocs skills and Joint Health and Safety Committee Meeting Training are required.
