Weatherford is hiring a Field Engineer for its NextGen Graduate Program.
Field Engineers connect Weatherford technologies with operational challenges on oil and gas rigs.
The role is hands-on, field-based, and may involve remote rig sites, onshore work, and offshore work.
Development program
The four-year Field Engineer Technical Development Program combines classroom learning with real-world experience.
Year 1 includes guided work and hands-on training at a global centre, with possible travel.
Year 2 provides increased responsibility at the wellsite alongside technical and classroom training.
Years 3 and 4 expand technical responsibility and may include leading wellsite teams and serving as the main client contact.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Prepare, deploy, and operate advanced downhole tools for specific wellsite objectives.
- Use simulation software to design and optimise wellsite solutions tailored to client needs.
- Analyse performance data and recommend improvements.
- Manage equipment logistics and ensure seamless rig-site setup and operation.
- Create detailed post-job reports and share actionable insights with clients and internal teams.
