The role combines Field Application Engineer responsibilities with customer training and technical content development.
The position is allocated approximately 75% to field applications engineering and 25% to training and content development.
Field Applications Engineering
- Conduct technical discovery engagements, technical sales presentations, and product value proposition demonstrations.
- Create and deliver live and on-demand technical content for sales and marketing campaigns.
- Support the Sales Team as a technical expert for assigned opportunities and accounts.
- Expand the sales pipeline within targeted accounts and act as the primary technical liaison.
- Drive adoption, subscription commitments, renewals, and brand loyalty for Altium’s product portfolio.
- Maintain knowledge of Altium products, competitors, emerging technologies, and the Altium product roadmap.
Training and Content Development
- Train customers professionally using Altium training content.
- Deliver instructor-led training sessions to Altium customers.
- Develop and update scripts, video storyboards, project examples, and technical video series.
- Collaborate with internal departments on new product features and development.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to internal and external trainers.
Qualifications
- Experience with Altium Designer is preferred but not essential.
- An electrical or electronics engineering background is desired.
- Some travel across Australia and New Zealand is expected.
