Role Description
The Application Specialist will be responsible for delivering expert technical support and application expertise across a range of analytical instruments — including GC/MS, LC/MS, ICP-MS, IC, and HPLC — serving clients across pharmaceutical, clinical, environmental, and research laboratory environments.
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, specifically GC/MS, LC/MS, ICP-MS, IC, and HPLC.
- Strong proficiency in method development, method validation/verification, and system suitability testing across regulated and research laboratory environments.
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks including GMP, GLP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO 17025/15189, with practical experience in compliance-driven settings.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application and instrument-related issues independently and in collaboration with vendor support teams.
- Experience in conducting customer training, product demonstrations, and developing instructional materials such as user guides and application protocols.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with laboratory scientists, QA/QC teams, and sales stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, client-facing environment.
- Willingness to be based in Doha, Qatar, and travel locally as required for client installations and support.
