Role Description
This is a contract position for a Fiber Splicing Technician located on-site at King Abdul Aziz International Airport.
Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic cables and related equipment.
The technician will perform splicing, testing, and repairs of fiber optic systems to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
Additional responsibilities involve documentation, identifying and resolving technical issues, and collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Fiber Optic Splicing, Testing, and Troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Cable Installation and Termination procedures
- Ability to work with tools and equipment for fiber splicing and inspections
- Knowledge of Network Infrastructure Maintenance and Repair
- Understanding of safety protocols and practices related to electrical and fiber installations
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to adapt to an on-site working environment and handle physical tasks
- Prior experience in aviation or high-security sectors is a plus
- Certifications in Fiber Optics or Network Cabling are an advantage
