As a Fertilization Technician , you will lead the turf fertilization operations, upholding our high standards and driving continuous improvement to perform quality work safely.

This position will have winter responsibilities with our snow operations team.

As a Fertilization Technician at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:

• Fertilizer and pesticide application (according to schedule) to lawns, trees, and shrubs.
• Responsible for weed control, shrub care, and aeration.
• Must use proper application techniques and comply with ODA standards, rules, and regulations
• Perform service calls and lawn inspections.
• Provide excellent customer service by handling customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow all proper safety procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform snow removal in the winter months.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Availability to work a varied schedule including Saturdays, as needed
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions including wet, rain, snow, or extreme heat or cold
• Basic understanding of mechanical landscape equipment
• Ability to identify plants, preferred
• Knowledge of fertilization and pesticides is preferred
