Key Responsibilities – Logistics Coordinator (Air Cargo)
- Coordinate and manage daily air cargo shipments (export, import, and transshipment) to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation such as Air Waybills (AWB), invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
- Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, ground handling agents, and customs authorities to facilitate smooth cargo movement.
- Track shipments and provide real-time updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with international aviation regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
- Monitor cargo space availability and book shipments with airlines accordingly.
- Handle any shipment delays, damages, or discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and logistics activities.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for cargo handling, storage, and dispatch.
- Optimize routes and costs while maintaining service quality and delivery timelines.
- Support pricing, quoting, and invoicing processes related to air freight services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and service providers.
- Ensure proper handling of special cargo (dangerous goods, perishables, valuables, etc.).
- Analyze logistics performance and suggest improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
