Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our manufacturing company in the UAE.
The ideal candidate with at least 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting management with accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and manufacturing costs.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
- Monitor and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
- Process payroll-related accounting entries and employee reimbursements.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE statutory requirements.
- Support management with financial analysis and operational reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of UAE accounting experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing company is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in inventory accounting and cost accounting is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional accounting certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) will be an advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems used in manufacturing environments.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: AED 7,000 – AED 7,500 per month.
