About the Department
Our Department teaches both Engineering and Information Technology. The engineering areas include electrical, mechanical and laser. The IT area has two tracks. One covers Networking and Cybersecurity and the other covers Business Systems and Operations Support. In support of our missions the department has four dedicated labs in the Wilkinson building. One is dedicated to electrical; another is for teaching computer hardware, one is for teaching networking and the last if for teaching software and systems.
Position Duties
- The student will primarily work in the networking, hardware and system labs. Duties will be varied and include installing application software, re-imaging computers, operating a windows server, managing inventory in the hardware lab, keeping printers supplied and operating as well as light housekeeping.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be eligible for Federal Work Study Program as determined by the Financial Aid Office. Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours Have outstanding computer skills. Must have outstanding customer service skills. Have good organizational skills. Possess good written and oral skills.
