Role Overview
Conduct structural and system simulations, fatigue calculations, material modeling, and parametric dynamic vehicle modeling.
Provide technical leadership and collaborate with design, test, requestor, industry, and external partner teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nonlinear static and dynamic FEA and nonparametric optimization.
- Perform fatigue calculations and make life projections.
- Create material property definitions for metallic and plastic materials when needed.
- Review and assign simulation requests and propose appropriate analysis methods.
- Support requirements development, DFMEA, DVP creation, design reviews, and testing.
- Develop simulation capability through training, research, project execution, and external engagement.
- Maintain communication and collaboration with design and test functions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- 10+ years of experience in an engineering simulation or related role.
- A master's degree is a plus.
