FDIR Engineer

We are looking for an FDIR Engineer to join our team who will work on both our current missions and future projects.

The FDIR Engineer will, as part of the System team, be responsible for FDIR concept development for ClearSpace missions, providing input to mission development from the earliest stages, and ensuring implementation and verification of that concept in the latter stages.

• Define , develop and maintain the spacecraft FDIR concept, architecture, and implementation strategy in collaboration with Systems, Software, Avionics, Operations, and PA/QA teams.
• Derive, allocate, and manage spacecraft FDIR requirements and ensure their implementation across segment and subsystem hardware and software.
• Perform FDIR analyses to identify failure scenarios, fault propagation paths, detection mechanisms, and recovery strategies.
• Support RAMS and safety activities by providing FDIR inputs and ensuring consistency between fault management and mission reliability objectives.
• Contribute to spacecraft, avionics, and software architecture definition to ensure effective fault management implementation.
• Define and execute FDIR verification and validation activities, including test planning, procedure development, execution, and reporting.
• Support spacecraft functional validation, system integration, and qualification campaigns. Identify and analyse operational constraints related to fault management and autonomous recovery strategies.
