Role Overview
The employer is hiring an experienced and motivated Farms and Greenhouse Irrigation Engineer.
The role focuses on irrigation and fertigation systems for farms and greenhouses in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, operate, and maintain farm and greenhouse irrigation systems.
- Manage drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, fertigation, filtration, pumps, valves, and irrigation controllers.
- Prepare irrigation schedules based on crop requirements and weather conditions.
- Monitor water consumption and improve irrigation efficiency.
- Supervise irrigation installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordinate with farm managers, technicians, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure proper operation of irrigation and fertigation systems.
- Prepare reports, maintenance schedules, and irrigation plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with a specialization in Irrigation or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in agricultural, farm, or greenhouse irrigation.
- Strong practical knowledge of drip irrigation and fertigation systems.
- Experience with irrigation pumps, filtration systems, valves, controllers, and automation is preferred.
- Good English communication skills.
- UAE experience is an advantage.
- A valid UAE driving license is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 4,000 to AED 16,000 per month.
