The Faculty Administration Assistant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of Faculty administrative services. Working within a collaborative Faculty Office environment, you will provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to Faculty leadership, academic staff and professional services teams. This role contributes to the successful delivery of faculty operations, events, committees and key academic processes while supporting a positive experience for staff and stakeholders across the University.
Key responsibilities:
Provide high-quality administrative support to Faculty leaders, including meeting coordination, travel arrangements, event planning and diary management.
Support the effective operation of Faculty offices through records management, data processing, document preparation and responding to enquiries.
Coordinate Faculty-level meetings and committees, ensuring accurate documentation and timely administrative support.
Contribute to Faculty and academic processes, projects and initiatives while providing flexible support across the broader Faculty Office team.
About the Team
This role sits within the Faculty Office and reports to the Executive Assistant and Faculty Office Coordinator. You will work closely with Deputy Deans, Associate Deans, Faculty Executive Managers, School Operations teams and professional services colleagues to deliver responsive and effective administrative support.
As part of a multifunctional team, you will contribute to a culture that values collaboration, service excellence and continuous improvement, helping faculties achieve their operational and strategic objectives.
What You'll Bring
Relevant administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Sound understanding of office administration practices, systems and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, exercise initiative and meet deadlines.
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Role Details
Permanent, Part-time appointment (0.2FTE, 7 hours per week)
Level 3/4: $67,214 - $85,682 (pro rata) + 17% superannuation commensurate with experience and capability
Location: Wollongong Campus
Valid Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available
