- π Job Summary:
- We are hiring an experienced Woodwork Factory Manager to lead and control a large-scale woodwork manufacturing operation, with full ownership of production performance, manpower, machinery, quality, QMS/ISO compliance, cost control, safety, and continuous improvement.
- This is not a desk-only management role β we are looking for a strong, hands-on, factory-first leader who is highly present on the shopfloor, execution-driven, disciplined, and deeply involved in daily operations.
- The ideal candidate must be able to manage pressure, push hard with the team during peak production periods, and lead the factory with ownership, urgency, and accountability.
- π§ Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage large-scale woodwork factory operations across manpower, machinery, product mix, production volume, turnover, and factory area.
- Establish clear end-to-end workflows, process maps, accountability systems, and performance dashboards to improve operational visibility and control.
- Drive strong leadership, discipline, accountability, and performance across all factory departments, managers, supervisors, operators, and support teams.
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet production targets, deadlines, quality standards, and delivery commitments.
- Monitor production KPIs, bottlenecks, labor efficiency, material flow, OEE, output performance, and corrective actions.
- Ensure efficient utilization of machinery, manpower, materials, and factory space to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
- Oversee the full machinery and equipment lifecycle, including installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, uptime improvement, and capacity utilization.
- Ensure strong QMS implementation, ISO compliance, documentation discipline, audits, NCR/CAPA closure, process control, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and enforce quality control processes to ensure products meet customer specifications and reduce defects, rework, and waste.
- Lead manpower planning, recruitment, training, performance evaluation, employee relations, overtime control, and policy enforcement.
- Manage raw material and finished goods inventory in coordination with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and production teams to ensure uninterrupted factory operations.
- Oversee warehouse organization, material handling, storage, labeling, end-of-year inventory counting, stock accuracy, losses, and discrepancy reporting.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, industrial permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and control the factory operating budget, monitor expenses, reduce costs, improve productivity, and drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, bottleneck analysis, SWOT reviews, and practical system improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports on production output, equipment performance, labor efficiency, quality performance, costs, risks, and operational challenges for senior management.
- Represent the factory during client visits, audits, supplier meetings, and regulatory interactions, showcasing production capability, quality standards, and operational strength.
- π Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelorβs Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or Masterβs degree is a plus.
- Experience: 15+ years of experience in factory management within the woodwork / joinery / furniture manufacturing industry.
- Industry Background: Proven experience managing large-size woodwork factories with significant manpower, machinery, product complexity, production volume, turnover, and operational scale.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
- π§ Technical Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of woodwork manufacturing operations, production processes, quality control, manpower management, maintenance, and factory workflow.
- Strong QMS and ISO management experience, including audits, documentation control, NCR/CAPA, corrective actions, and process compliance.
- Strong understanding of machinery performance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, capacity planning, and downtime reduction.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, daily output control, bottleneck management, OEE, KPI dashboards, and operational reporting.
- Strong experience in inventory control, warehouse coordination, raw material flow, finished goods control, and supply chain coordination.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental regulations, industrial permits, licenses, and certification requirements.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems, MS Office, operational dashboards, production reporting, and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or CAD-related factory layout / machinery planning tools is an advantage.
- π― Behavioral Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- High ownership, discipline, accountability, and follow-through.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- Strong decision-making and crisis-management skills under pressure.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical thinking.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Results-oriented, hardworking, and highly committed to factory success.
- Strong shopfloor presence with the ability to lead from the ground, not from behind a desk.
- π’ If you are a disciplined, execution-driven, and results-oriented factory leader with deep woodwork manufacturing experience and the ability to lead a large factory operation with full ownership, we want to hear from you.
