Factory Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Production Management
• Plan and supervise daily manufacturing activities
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Team Leadership
• Manage carpenters, machine operators, and supervisors
• Train staff and maintain productivity standards
• Quality Control
• Ensure finished products meet design specs and quality standards

• Machinery & Tools Oversight

• Maintain equipment like CNC machines, saws, and edge banders

• Health & Safety

• Enforce safety procedures in the workshop

• Material & Inventory Control

• Monitor timber, hardware, and supplies

• Client & Project Coordination

• Work with designers, contractors, and clients

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of woodworking/joinery techniques
• Experience with CNC machines and CAD drawings
• Leadership and team management skills
• Project planning and problem-solving
• Understanding of cost control and budgeting

Typical Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Carpentry, Wood Technology, or Manufacturing
• 5–10+ years of experience in joinery or furniture production
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience

Work Environment

• Factory/workshop-based
• May involve noise, dust, and heavy machinery
• Often requires being on the floor supervising operations

Salary (Uae Context)

• In places like Dubai:
• AED 6,000 month depending on experience and company size
• Senior roles in large factories can go higher
