Ensure uninterrupted operation of utility systems including steam, compressed air, chilled water, cooling water, hot water, HVAC, and water supply systems.
Monitor utility parameters and optimize system performance.
Coordinate utility startup, shutdown, and changeover activities.
Ensure utilities meet production and process requirements.
Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
Conduct routine inspections of utility equipment and associated systems.
Diagnose mechanical faults and implement timely corrective actions.
Monitor equipment condition through vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and other predictive maintenance techniques.
Minimize equipment downtime and improve system reliability.
Responsible for operation and maintenance of:
Chillers and refrigeration systems
Cooling towers and cooling water systems
Air compressors and compressed air networks
Pumps, valves, and piping systems
HVAC equipment and ventilation systems
Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP)
Sewage Treatment Plants (STP)
Fire hydrant and firefighting systems
Clean room maintenance
Monitor utility consumption and identify energy-saving opportunities.
Improve equipment efficiency and utility performance.
Analyze utility KPIs and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
Support sustainability, water conservation, and energy management programs.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental norms, and safety standards.
Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections.
Implement Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Ensure safe operation of pressure vessels, boilers, and rotating equipment.
Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and inspection reports.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly utility performance reports.
Update SOPs, checklists, P&IDs, and maintenance procedures.
Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance budgets.
Participate in utility expansion and modernization projects.
Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new utility equipment.
Lead reliability improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
Implement predictive maintenance and condition-monitoring systems.
Supervise technicians, operators, and contractor personnel.
Provide technical guidance and training.
Coordinate with production, EHS, quality, and engineering teams
8–10 years of experience in operation and maintenance of industrial utilities.
Experience in O & M of semiconductor manufacturing plants, process industries, chemical plants preferred.
This role focuses on maintaining critical utility systems with maximum reliability, energy efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance, ensuring uninterrupted support to plant operations.
