The Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical plant and ensuring a safe, clean, and functional work environment in a large-scale nutraceutical manufacturing facility. This role involves a variety of tasks, including general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance, with a specific focus on supporting manufacturing and warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Manufacturing Support: Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, including painting systems, HVAC units, drywall partitions, and other essential components. Ensure the proper functioning of forklifts and other material handling equipment. Support warehouse operations by maintaining racking systems, dock doors, dock plates, and air compressors. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a focus on industrial equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
HVAC certification
Plumbing license
Electrical license
Experience with building automation systems
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, often up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in noisy environments.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
