Rincon Research Corporation seeks a Building Maintenance Technician who will oversee operation, repair, and maintenance on all building systems in such a manner as to ensure optimal conditions at our Chantilly, Virginia facility, and who will provide facility administration support for day-to-day site operations, including remote facility administration support for our sites located in Colorado, Florida, and Arizona.

Oversee the operation and scheduled maintenance of HVAC and electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior repair.
Work with outside vendors on scheduled maintenance of various building systems.
Work with colleagues and tenant customers to complete work orders and resolve building system issues.
Respond to after-hour unscheduled emergencies, when needed.
Perform other basic tasks as required, such as hanging bulletin boards, changing bulbs, setting up office furniture, janitorial services, etc.
Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Oversee and inspect work performed by service vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with contracts. Routine vendors include janitorial, landscaping, security, life safety, HVAC, plumbers, and electricians.
Routinely inspect building systems including fire alarms and extinguishers, HVAC, EMS system, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities.

Maintain facility records and documentation, including equipment manuals, warranties, building drawings, and inspection reports, ensuring files are current.

Conducted annual physical inventories, reconciled discrepancies, processed returns and carrier claims, and maintained organized warehouse operations to ensure inventory accuracy and operational readiness.
Collaborated with contracts, finance, customers, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues, support equipment receipt and distribution, and provide logistics and property management assistance.
A minimum of 3+ years’ experience working with building operations, including a basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections.
Ability to detect emergency alarms auditory and/or visual.
Ability to access hard-to-reach areas, including getting on hands and knees as needed for equipment inspections.
Ability to safely climb ladders.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, squat, reach, and kneel on a daily basis.
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance

This position is located at our Chantilly, VA office.
*The likely salary range for this position is $40 - $50 per hour. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
