Facade Consultant

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Freelance Façade Consultant to work with our Dubai based Interdisciplinary Design & Research (IDR) team on some of the most exciting projects in the region.

: Freelance (a full-time job could be offered based on performance).

: Office-based in Dubai, Remotely or Hybrid are all welcome to apply.

Please read carefully the below requirements:

· At least 3-5 years’ experience in façade design and consulting of highly complex building envelopes and lightweight structures

· Bachelor’s Degree or above in a an architectural or engineering-design-based field: Architecture/Mechanical/Industrial/Structural Engineering

· Self-motivated

· Team player

· Capable of multitasking and working on multiple projects simultaneously

· Capable of handling pressure while working remotely

· Understands and respects corporate discipline and internationally recognised business etiquette

· Experience working on highly complex international projects

· Proficiency in building envelopes and lightweight structures related technical design, detailing, construction, and installation principles

· Proficiency in using 2D and 3D CAD software like AutoCAD and Rhino

· Good written and verbal communication skills (English)

· Good graphic design and visual presentation skills

· Ability to produce conceptual sketches and diagrams

· Ability to produce 2D and 3D façade CAD details

· Capable of assisting in formulating professional reports and PowerPoint presentations

· Good communication and coordination skills

· Produce 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for complex architectural façade designs

· Formulate a façade 2D CAD tender package and IFC drawings

· Develop interfaces between parametric models and customised excel spreadsheets

· Conceptual visualisation of architectural and engineering designs using 3D rendering software

· Assist in formulating façade design reports and PowerPoint presentations

· Able to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams of consultants, contractors and suppliers

· Knowledge of BIM authoring tools, such as Revit would be a huge bonus

· Knolwedge of parametric design tools such as Grasshopper & Dynamo to control software like Rhino, Tekla and Revit would be a huge bonus

· Any CAD visualisation/rendering like Enscape or KeyShot would be a huge bonus
