Responsibilities
- Assist with fabrication of steel components for solar mounting structures and lighting poles
- Operate CNC laser, press brake, and plasma cutting machines
- Perform MIG welding and basic fitting
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials according to technical drawings
- Handle, load, and unload materials safely
- Perform equipment setup and basic maintenance
- Follow production schedules
- Support senior fabricators and welders
- Adhere to safety and quality standards throughout the workshop
Requirements
- Practical experience in steel fabrication, including cutting, bending, drilling, and assembly
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication sketches
- Experience operating CNC laser, press brake, and plasma cutting machines
- Proficiency in MIG welding on mild steel
- Strong focus on workshop safety and use of PPE
- Attention to detail and quality oriented mindset
- Ability to work on site in Umm al Quwain
- Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools
- Previous experience in structural steel or metal fabrication environment preferred
- Vocational training or certification in welding, fabrication, or machine operation is an advantage

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site role based in Umm al Quwain, United Arab Emirates. The Fabricator / CNC Laser & Press Brake / Plasma Machine Operator / Helper / MIG Welder will assist with fabrication of steel components for solar mounting structures and lighting poles.
Responsibilities
- Operating CNC laser, press brake, and plasma cutting machines
- Performing MIG welding and basic fitting
- Measuring, cutting, and preparing materials according to technical drawings
- Handling, loading, and unloading materials safely
- Equipment setup and basic maintenance
- Following production schedules
- Supporting senior fabricators and welders
- Adhering to safety and quality standards throughout the workshop
Qualifications
- Practical experience in steel fabrication, including cutting, bending, drilling, and assembly of structural components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication sketches, and basic engineering measurements.
- Experience operating CNC laser, press brake, and plasma cutting machines, including machine setup and basic troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in MIG welding on mild steel, with knowledge of weld preparation, joint types, and basic finishing.
- Strong focus on workshop safety, use of PPE, safe lifting and material handling, and compliance with company safety procedures.
- Attention to detail, quality oriented mindset, and ability to follow standard operating procedures and inspection criteria.
- Ability to work on site in Umm al Quwain, collaborate with diverse team members, and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Previous experience in a structural steel, metal fabrication, or similar industrial environment is preferred.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, squares, gauges).
