Role Overview

People and Guest Experience

• Support daily service operations, coordinate floor tasks, and help ensure smooth teamwork.
• Guide colleagues, share knowledge, provide feedback, and support new team members during service.
• Keep equipment, glassware, table settings, and dining areas clean, stocked, and ready.
• Anticipate guest needs, manage requests professionally, and resolve concerns.
• Recommend dishes and wine pairings to enhance the guest experience.

Business and Financial Duties

• Support promotions, seasonal menus, and special events by communicating offerings to guests.
• Stay informed about industry trends, menu updates, and wine selections.
• Handle, store, and rotate food and beverage items to maintain quality and reduce waste.
• Assist with stock checks and inventory procedures when required.
• Upsell dishes, premium beverages, and wine pairings in a genuine, guest-focused manner.
• Handle payments and transactions accurately and securely.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a waiter in a fine-dining restaurant is required.
• Strong knowledge of wine service and pairing is required.
• Formal hospitality or wine training or certification, such as WSET, is advantageous.
