Role overview
Manage procurement for food, beverages, packaging, kitchen supplies, and other operational requirements for a restaurant group in Qatar.
Ensure materials are available on time while maintaining product quality and controlling procurement costs.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement for food, beverages, packaging, and operational supplies.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery conditions.
- Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Monitor food and material costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate procurement with Executive Chefs, Kitchen, Operations, Finance, and Stores.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality, and product availability.
- Maintain supplier lists, price comparisons, purchase records, and procurement reports.
- Support inventory control and minimize wastage, shortages, and overstocking.
- Handle supplier issues, complaints, returns, and quality concerns.
- Ensure food suppliers meet required food safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in F&B, restaurants, hotels, or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage products and local supplier markets.
- Experience in supplier negotiation and cost control.
- Strong knowledge of procurement procedures and documentation.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and procurement or inventory systems.
- Ability to manage multiple outlets and suppliers.
- Experience working in Qatar or the GCC is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in a related field is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is up to QAR 10,000 per month.
