Role Overview

Manage all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service functions.

Oversee guest and employee satisfaction, maintain operational standards, and meet or exceed financial goals.

Develop and implement the food and beverage business plan.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED plus four years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area.
  • Alternatively, a two-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major plus two years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.

Financial and Operational Management

  • Develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for food and beverage departments.
  • Maintain a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
  • Use budgets to understand and support financial objectives.
  • Manage daily food and beverage department operations.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and manage employees, set performance standards, and monitor productivity.
  • Provide coaching, counseling, mentoring, and training to team members.
  • Create a workplace focused on motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and service.
  • Set goals and priorities and provide leadership, vision, and direction for departmental work.

Guest Service

  • Provide excellent customer service and respond quickly and proactively to guest concerns.
  • Take ownership of guest complaints or problems until they are resolved or addressed by the appropriate person.
  • Verify that banquet functions and daily service standards meet or exceed guest expectations.
  • Communicate guest needs and provide guidance, feedback, and coaching to improve service.

Human Resources and Communication

  • Conduct timely performance reviews and identify the development and educational needs of employees.
  • Develop training programs or classes and teach or instruct others as needed.
  • Develop action plans based on employee engagement and guest satisfaction results.
  • Maintain effective communication through logs, department meetings, and property meetings.

Workplace

  • The position is based at The Pearl Island in Doha, Qatar and is not remote.

Schedule

  • The position is scheduled as full time.
