F&B Hostess - InterContinental Abu Dhabi

We are currently looking for a warm, confident, and service-oriented F&B Hostess to join our Food & Beverage team.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

As an F&B Hostess, you will often be the first and last point of contact for our guests, playing an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience.

You will ensure guests are greeted warmly, seated efficiently, and looked after from the moment they arrive.

• Welcoming and greeting guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Managing restaurant reservations, guest enquiries, and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Escorting guests to their tables and presenting menus while ensuring a smooth arrival experience.
• Maintaining an organized reservation and seating system and coordinating table availability with the restaurant team.
• Answering telephone calls and responding to restaurant enquiries professionally.
• Being knowledgeable about the restaurant's menu, operating hours, promotions, and special events.
• Recognizing returning guests and supporting the team in delivering personalized experiences.
• Anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to requests or concerns.
• Communicating special requests, dietary requirements, celebrations, and VIP information to the relevant team members.
• Coordinating closely with servers, supervisors, kitchen colleagues, and other departments to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Maintaining the hostess desk, menus, and entrance area to ensure they are clean, organized, and presentable.
• Supporting the Food & Beverage team during busy periods and special events when required.
• Following hotel grooming, hygiene, health and safety, and service standards at all times.
• Demonstrating IHG values through positive and professional interactions with guests and colleagues.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience as a Hostess or in a guest-facing Food & Beverage role, preferably within a hotel, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A warm, confident, and professional personality.
• Strong guest service skills with the ability to create a positive first impression.
