Role Overview

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Set up the Employee Restaurant and food service areas before each meal period.
• Serve and assist colleagues during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and other meal periods.
• Replenish buffet items, beverages, cutlery, and other supplies throughout service.
• Keep food displays and service areas clean, organised, and presentable.
• Clear and clean tables during and after meal periods.
• Clean tables, chairs, counters, floors, and service stations.
• Support Employee Restaurant opening and closing duties.
• Follow food hygiene, health, and safety procedures.
• Report low supplies, damaged equipment, and safety concerns to a supervisor.
• Work with culinary and stewarding teams to support smooth daily operations.

Requirements

• Able to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lb (23 kg), including bending and kneeling.
• Basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
• Previous food service, cafeteria, or restaurant experience is advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly and helpful approach when serving colleagues.
• Good understanding of cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Able to work in a busy environment and stay organised during peak meal periods.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
• Flexible to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
