- Liberty, NC Shift: 1st Shift (7:00am-3:00pm) Pay: Starting at $17.00. Higher starting pay is available based on manufacturing and extrusion experience.
Extrusion Operator Jobs in Liberty, NC
Americhem is hiring a 1st Shift Extrusion Operator at our Liberty, North Carolina manufacturing facility. This manufacturing operator position is responsible for operating extrusion equipment, monitoring production processes, performing machine setup and troubleshooting, and producing high-quality plastic compounds and color concentrates.
Americhem is one of the world's leading manufacturers of custom color concentrates, engineered compounds, and additive solutions. As an Extrusion Operator, you will play a key role in our manufacturing and production operations while working in a safe, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust extrusion equipment to meet production specifications.
- Set up and run extrusion machines, feeders, pelletizers, classifiers, scales, dies, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Produce compound samples and finished products according to customer and quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot extrusion equipment and production issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic machine maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Operate a forklift/tow motor to move materials and load color mix containers into production equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement and workplace safety initiatives.
Required
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
