As an Extrusion Operator you will support with the manufacturing of high quality blown extrusion film ensuring it meets customer standards whilst maintaining a safe working environment. During the training period (normally 2-3 weeks) you will work Mon-Fri 9am-5pm before moving on to shift and reporting into the Shift Manager. Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off, 2 days/2nights.
Key responsibilities to include:
Working safe in accordance with site procedures and safe systems of work
Reporting all hazards and act on them accordingly
Housekeeping on all extrusion lines
Monitor of product quality and ensure all quality checks and testing is carried out in line with specifications
Monitor and manage line output rates, utilisation, scrap levels against plan/targets on each line
Operate extrusion machinery and monitor and manage recycling equipment on each unit
Ensure accurate data is recorded and inputted correctly
Ensure a good handover of information to the incoming operator
Experience in the operation of extrusion equipment (desirable)
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment (desirable) Full training will be provided.
Good team working and communication
Positive and pro-active attitude
Be able to work unsupervised and using own initiative
Ability to handle multiple priorities to ensure deadlines are met
