Salary Rate / Pay Rate
- $21.00 per hour
Required Qualifications
- 1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. At least three (3) years of full time (or part-time equivalent) work experience as a Storekeeper or a closely related position. 3. Valid State of Illinois Class D drivers’ license
Preferred Qualifications
- 1. Ability to read and understand service manuals, order forms, etc. 2. Ability to follow detailed verbal and written directions 3. Flexibility in work schedule 4. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of Department and University personnel 5. Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement
Work Hours
Preferred schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-12:00 pm (there is some flexibility with these hours)
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: 1. Ability to lift 76 pounds. 2. Ability to push/pull 40 pounds. 3. Ability to climb, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach overhead. 4. Ability to drive a fork lift and operate power hand jacks, hand jacks. 5. Ability to speak clearly.

**This position does not qualify for student employment. Sponsorship : Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for Illinois State University in the United States. Illinois State University will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. Illinois State University is not a qualifying employer for the STEM OPT benefit: only the 12-month OPT may be used to work at Illinois State University. Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment. Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement, with Illinois State University. However, Extra Help employees are eligible to participate in the University’s supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). Applicable retirement information is provided at the time of hire. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment. In addition, extra help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment. Please fully complete the entire application including, but not limited to, the education and work history portions. Be specific on your work history, including employment dates (if part-time you must list the number of work hours) and duties for all positions held. Applicable part-time work experience will be considered toward qualifying for this position; however, it will be converted to a full-time equivalency to determine combined length of experience.
