Grupo HJG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented **External Audit Senior** to join our professional services team in Doha, Qatar.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing external audit engagements, ensuring compliance with auditing standards, and delivering high-quality financial assurance services to a diverse portfolio of clients.
This role is ideal for an audit professional who thrives in a structured, deadline-driven environment and is passionate about accuracy, integrity, and professional excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute external audit assignments from planning to completion
- Perform risk assessments and develop tailored audit programs
- Review financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant regulations
- Supervise and guide junior auditors during fieldwork and testing procedures
- Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for improvement
- Prepare audit working papers, reports, and client deliverables
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and management
- Coordinate with clients to obtain required documentation and resolve issues
- Support engagement managers and partners in audit planning and execution
- Ensure audits are completed within deadlines and budget expectations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 4–6 years of external audit experience in a professional services firm
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and auditing standards
- Experience in reviewing financial statements and internal controls
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple engagements
