A globally operating organization seeks an Export Compliance Manager to develop and oversee export compliance programs ensuring adherence to international trade regulations and sanctions.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement export compliance strategies, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks aligned with international trade regulations
- Manage export control programs covering classification, licensing, documentation, screening, reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable export laws, sanctions, embargoes, customs regulations, and trade restrictions across relevant markets
- Review export transactions, customer information, products, technologies, and documentation to identify compliance requirements and risks
- Collaborate with legal, logistics, procurement, sales, finance, operations, and business teams to ensure compliant international trade activities
- Conduct export compliance audits, risk assessments, internal reviews, and corrective action initiatives
- Manage export documentation processes including licenses, certificates, declarations, shipping documents, and regulatory records
- Develop and deliver export compliance training programs for employees and business stakeholders
- Monitor regulatory updates, geopolitical developments, and trade control changes affecting business operations
- Support due diligence processes, third party screening, supplier compliance reviews, and partner assessments
- Maintain compliance records, audit trails, reporting systems, and export control documentation
- Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Law, Supply Chain Management, Compliance, Finance, or related field preferred
- Professional certifications in Export Compliance, Global Trade Compliance (GTC), International Trade, Customs Compliance, or equivalent are advantageous
- 5+ years of experience in export compliance, global trade compliance, customs, international logistics, regulatory affairs, or related roles
- 2+ years of experience managing export compliance programs, trade controls, audits, or regulatory initiatives preferred
- Strong understanding of export controls, sanctions regulations, customs requirements, trade documentation, compliance frameworks, and risk management principles
- Experience with trade compliance systems, ERP platforms, screening tools, document management systems, analytics platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical, regulatory, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, training, and advisory abilities
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate requirements into practical business processes
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment

The Role
