Responsibilities
- Moves parts through the shop floor based on completed job operations.
- Expedites jobs delayed by material, labor, tooling, or quality issues.
- Coordinates production priorities with supervisors and planners.
- Reports completed operations promptly in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and ensures travelers are properly stamped.
- Communicates job status updates to the Production Control Planning Team.
- Supports recovery plans for late or high-priority orders.
- Assists with part staging, job sequencing, and re-prioritization.
- Identifies production bottlenecks and escalates issues that may impact delivery.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Understanding of routings, travelers, and shop floor operations.
- Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Ability to assist with process improvement.
- Ability to work directly with operators and supervisors.
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
- Forklift certification; training can be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epicor ERP.
Physical Requirements
- Constant standing and walking for at least 8 hours.
- Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds, typically 35 pounds.
