Promotes and restores patients health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area.

Assists for hiring, mentors, develops including communicating job expectations and providing performance reviews.

Assists to meet nursing operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; and identifying system improvements.

Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.

Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff to implement patient care.

Support Nursing Staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees.

Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.

Assures quality of care by developing and interpreting hospital and nursing divisions philosophies, standard of care, enforcing adherence to NABH regulations, measuring health outcomes against standards, and making or recommending adjustments.

Promotes patients independence by establishing patient care goals.

Resolves patients needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulations, and by calling for assistance from other health care professionals.

Maintains documentation of patient care services by auditing patient and department records.

Educates Nursing team on supplies and inventory by studying usage reports, identifying trends, anticipating needed supplies, and approving requisitions and cost allocations.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.

Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information, responding to requests, and participating in team problem-solving methods.
