The Opportunity
Lead and shape the identity of Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge at the Wedgewood Hotel & Spa in Vancouver.
Bring a culinary vision to seasonal European cuisine, lead an exceptional kitchen brigade and build relationships with renowned Relais & Châteaux chefs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead culinary operations for Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge, banquets, special events and in-room dining.
- Elevate standards for food quality, presentation, creativity and kitchen execution across all outlets.
- Develop seasonal menus with exceptional ingredients, strong technique and a refined European culinary identity.
- Maintain a hands-on leadership presence in preparation, service, menu development and quality control.
- Mentor, recruit, train and retain culinary professionals while building a high-performing team.
- Manage food and labour costs, purchasing, inventory, scheduling, budgets and fiscal KPIs.
- Build supplier relationships and lead menu tastings, special events and culinary presentations.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership, the Wedgewood culinary community and Relais & Châteaux chefs.
- Engage with guests, address service challenges and ensure compliance with food, health and workplace safety standards.
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays and peak service periods.
