- Relevant in depth and hands on experience in one or more areas in the field of Corporate finance and investment banking, Treasury, Portfolio Management, Finance, Budget and Accounting
- Proven experience in working under stringent deadlines and maintaining strict confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Job Description
- The New Development Bank is inviting applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (VP and CFO).
- This position is at Senior Professional level (Grade 7) in the Bank.
- The Executive Assistant will be responsible for assisting the VP and CFO in all areas of their work to achieve the corporate, strategic and operational objectives of the Bank.
- The role offers an excellent opportunity to acquire a holistic understanding of development banking, strategy implementation, risk management, policy making, global challenges such as climate change, sustainability, infrastructure financing, and contribute to multilateral engagements.
Specific Responsibilities
- Provide research, analytical, and operational support on all matters as required by the VP and CFO.
- Liaison with and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders of the Bank.
- Coordinate with all departments and divisions within the Bank as required and facilitate cross functional collaboration.
- Support the VP and CFO with preparation of agenda and follow up on management decisions.
- Contribute to the development of key documents for the VP and CFO.
- Coordinate across the institution to ensure that relevant inputs are obtained in a timely manner.
- Prepare memos, correspondence and reports on behalf of the VP and CFO, including drafting speeches and speaking notes.
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Position Requirements and Competencies
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field from a reputed university.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in multilateral development banks, national governments, commercial banks, other financial institutions or top tier think tanks.
- Relevant in depth and hands on experience in one or more areas in the field of Corporate finance and investment banking, Treasury, Portfolio Management, Finance, Budget and Accounting.
- Candidates with relevant experience in multilateral development banks, financial and investment policies and operations are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in working under stringent deadlines and maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Problem solving, communication, conflict management and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive.
- Desire to challenge the status quo and bring in new ideas, innovation and approaches.
- Strong interpersonal, diplomatic, negotiation, team play and organisational skill sets.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Self motivated, service oriented and detail attentive.
- Exercising discretion and maintaining integrity of sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language.
